The tank is a 10-gallon Innovative Marine NUVO Fusion Nano all-in-one aquarium.
The lighting system is a NanoBox Reef Tide Plus, which is controlled by a Bluefish controller.
In this setup, an 80mm Enermax computer case fan is used as a chiller to help regulate the temperature of the water.
Water circulation is facilitated by the stock NUVO Fusion return pump and a VorTech MP-10w QD pump.
The filtration system includes an Innovative Marine AUQA Gadget Ghost Protein Skimmer and an InTank Media Basket filled with Poly Filter Floss, ROX 0.8 carbon, and GFO.
The tank uses Bulk Reef Supply Dosers for dosing Seachem Reef Fusion two-part and Red Sea NO3:PO4-X.
A Neptune Systems Apex Jr. controller with an Energy Bar 4 is used to manage various systems in the aquarium.
Daily maintenance includes scraping algae if needed (usually every three days), and feeding the tank once a day with a mix of pellets, Reef Roids, mysis shrimp, calanus shrimp, liquid phyto, Polyp-Booster, and Red Sea Energy A and B.
Weekly maintenance involves turkey basting the rocks and sand, changing the filter floss, performing a 2-gallon water change, and emptying/cleaning the protein skimmer cup.
Monthly maintenance includes siphoning out the rear chambers, cleaning the media basket, and replacing carbon and GFO.
The feeding strategy includes daily feeding of food pellets along with a mixture of more specialized foods, like Reef Roids and various types of shrimp.
Nutrient control is managed by using a combination of carbon dosing through Red Sea NO3:PO4-X, traditional carbon, GFO, and regular skimming to maintain low nitrate and phosphate levels while still supplying enough nutrients for the corals.
It is recommended to keep a shallow sand bed and to stir and vacuum it at least once a week.
This aquarium contains a variety of corals including Soft Corals (Zoanthids and Ricordea Mushrooms), LPS Corals (Hammer, Blasto, and Acan), and SPS Corals (Acropora and Montipora).
Maintaining coral health involves ensuring stability in water parameters, avoiding sudden changes, and addressing issues promptly, such as dipping corals when problems arise.
The fish species include Orange Percula Clownfish, Green Banded Gobies, a Pink Streaked Wrasse, and a Leopard Toby Puffer.
